It is known that as the pressure approaches decreased saturated vapor pressure, the steam phase is formed due to the separation of gases dissolved in the flow pass. Gas bubbles that suddenly coalesce create very high pressure spikes. As a result, “needles” seem to be inserted into the wall surface and hydraulic impacts (shocks) are created and holes and nests are formed in the pipe due to the corrosion of metal crystals. The article examines the formation of multiphase flow due to the occurrence of cavitation and the reasons for the structural in such flows, the impact crisis situations on the hydraulic properties. It was determined that one of the main reasons for the premature failure of pipelines in old fields is local cavitation events occurring in multiphase flows.
