Abstract

The ar­tic­le stu­dies the prob­lem of uti­li­za­tion of by-pro­ducts and was­tes of lar­ge-ton­na­ge pro­duc­tion pro­ces­ses of pet­roc­he­mistry and oil re­fi­ning. The pos­si­bi­lity of ac­hie­ving the pro­duc­tion on an in­dust­rial sca­le of an ef­fec­ti­ve, en­vi­ron­men­tally friendly com­po­si­tion of an oxy­ge­na­te ad­di­ti­ve to mo­tor ga­so­li­ne pa­ten­ted in Azer­bai­jan ba­sed on by-pro­ducts of oil re­fi­ning and pet­roc­he­mi­cal synt­he­sis is shown. This ad­di­ti­ve to mo­tor ga­so­li­ne, which is re­la­ti­vely chea­per and mo­re prac­ti­cal to pro­du­ce on an in­dust­rial sca­le com­pa­red to ethyl ter­tiary butyl et­her (ET­BE), being en­vi­ron­men­tally friendly, may fi­nally al­low us to suc­cess­fully rep­la­ce methyl ter­tiary butyl et­her (MT­BE), which is still pro­du­ced in lar­ge quan­ti­ties around the world and is harm­ful to all li­ving or­gan-isms on land and wa­ter, with sig­ni­fi­cant ef­fi­ciency.
