New Ecologically OxyGenate Additive to Gaso-Line in Azerbaijan

The article studies the problem of utilization of by-products and wastes of large-tonnage production processes of petrochemistry and oil refining. The possibility of achieving the production on an industrial scale of an effective, environmentally friendly composition of an oxygenate additive to motor gasoline patented in Azerbaijan based on by-products of oil refining and petrochemical synthesis is shown. This additive to motor gasoline, which is relatively cheaper and more practical to produce on an industrial scale compared to ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), being environmentally friendly, may finally allow us to successfully replace methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), which is still produced in large quantities around the world and is harmful to all living organ-isms on land and water, with significant efficiency.
