The task of optimal distribution of limited amount of gas between parallel working gas-lift wells, having different performance characteristics was set. Mathematical model of wells was obtained by means of numerical experiments and optimization problem was solved with the application of the method of Lagrange multipliers, thus was shown obtaining of maximum performance. In order to solve the issue, a mathematical model of the productivity characteristics of wells P(xi) should be prepared. As mentioned, 3 different gas lift wells were selected for numerical experiment. To obtain the mathematical model of the productivity characteristics of wells, 50 experimental values were obtained using the passive experimental method, and the smallest squares method was used to find the coefficients of the mathematical model.
