Abstract

Modifications of sulfonate-type additives were synthesized and studied based on the sulfomethylation product of alkylphenol obtained using technical chloroparaffin. Various developed alkaline synthetic sulfonate additives have high physico-chemical and functional properties and meet modern requirements. Obtained sulfonates have a micellar structure. The results of laboratory tests showed that the synthesized neutral sulfonate is superior to petroleumbased NSK sulfonate and OLOA 246B additive in terms of the amount of active substance, dispersing and anti-corrosion properties. Experimental, medium and high alkaline additives are superior to analogues in terms of dispersing, corrosion, oxidation stability properties, while they are on the same level as C-150, C-300 commercial sulfonates and Hightech 6060M additive in terms of physico-chemical and detergent properties. An experimental M-10Г2 type motor oil that meets modern requirements for quality indicators was created with the presence of a highly alkaline SS-300af additive.
